This is a pleasant enough place to stay, helpful staff and clean rooms. The only down sides I would mention were the seemingly thin walls (not uncommon in hotels) and the breakfast. To be fair, the breakfast isn't bad, just don't expect anything cooked and make sure you turn up early rather than late or your choices will be rather... more
My husband & I stayed here for 2 nights (booked through e-bookers) with a trip to Florence in between. We took the train from Pisa airport for a cost of 1e 10 & it took 5 mins at the most. The trains are so easy. The airport is just like a medium sized train station - Tip though: the train... more
This Hotel is beautifully decorated and is very clean, tidy. Room spacious and bathroom is large. The only minor complaint is the temperature of the air-con, I suspect they have fix the temp at a certian degrees, will be a bit better if it is cooler as it is very hot in Pisa when I was there. The breakfast is... more
Had a good one nights stay at the ADS, the front desk were friendly. The A/C in the room was just average though, would have loved it much cooler in the Pisa heat as the A/C could not keep up. The breakfast was OK, nothing to write home about. Overall a good stay. Would stay again for short period. more
picked this hotel after seeing the good reviews on tripadvisor and reading such bad ones about other hotels. Stayed for one night travelling from Florence as we had an early morning flight from pisa. I can only agree with all the other good comments written about this hotel. It was bright welcoming on a very hot August day. The staff... more
My wife and I flew to Rome on a 9 hour plane flight from Cincinatti. We then hopped on a crowded and hot train from Rome to Pisa. Upon arriving in Pisa, we flipped out our city map and walked the five or so blocks from the train station to Hotel Alessandro della Spina. Upon reaching the hotel and being... more
My wife and I stayed in this hotel for 4 consectuive nights in June 2008 after researching hotels on the internet and actually reading the comments on this site. In summary, the staff were excellent and the room was very good. An exceptionally large room and a very nice shower-room. Having read previous reports some quoted that the area was... more
Found through Rick Steves. Easy walk from the train station. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, and though I was uncomfortable leaving our luggage with the front desk, all was well and they'd brought it to our room by the time we returned. The rooms were spacious and lovely -- the bathroom huge even by US standards (though no... more
We only stayed here for one night but thought it was a very nice hotel, certainly far superior to other 3 star hotels we stayed at in Italy. It is well located near to the train station and a few minutes drive from the airport (Pisa isn’t that big!), sights and shopping streets are all within walking distance of 10... more
