I have been to Siena 4 times and this was the best by far. The hotel is situated in the perfect location. It was tricky to find since we drove ourselves. I concur with the previous review. The hotel room was fine. The location was fine. The breakfast was above average with an attentive staff. The peope at the front desk were the pits. This is probably the closest hotel to the Campo where the Palio is held and is therefore in an excellent situation. As others have mentioned, although parking is included in the price, the public car park used is a 10 minute walk away. We had a room facing the street and the street noise and activities went until the wee hours of the morning. There was an elevator to the roof terrace but to reach the room we had to take lots of stairs. Room was very plain and generic in decor but the bed was comfortable.
