For a 3 star hotel (at least that's what I thought I booked) it was good value for money. Location-wise I could not have asked for any better- close to the river, sights and great dining. Hotel Helmhaus is an excellent hotel with friendly, helpful staff. It's very centrally located, right beside the Grossmunster Cathedral on the river (between the Bahnhof and the lake). Stayed 6 nights at the Helmhaus. Excellent city centre hotel, and the staff are very helpful. The double glazing is excellent and keeps out the majority of sounds. The Helmhaus minibar prices compare favourably with bar prices in Zurich so don't despair that the hotel doesn't have a bar; a beer or a glass of wine or a coke light... more
