we just returned from a business trip to Claridge Hotel in Zurich and can only recommend it. Rooms are very nicely appointed in the style of the French kings, large and very clean. Every rooms has an own computer (free use) with direct and very fast internet access (no extra cost): we found that very helpful. - Breakfast is outstanding,... more

I was in Zurich on business and was booked into the Claridge. The first impression is good - the reception assistant was very helpful and courteous, and his language skills are impressive. My room was a corner one on the 2nd floor - three large windows, all openable. The furnishings were good - though the bed was too hard for... more

Hotel is definitely not four star. Maybe 2.5 Pictures of rooms do not reflect what you get. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Description of hotel is not accurate. Rather run down and dated. Rooms are best described as for the low cost business traveler even though they are not low cost. more

I agree with Peter2NewYork. I stayed in a top floor room with three windows, but nevertheless the walls were cracking, the furniture was badly outdated, and the overall feel of the room was old-fashioned and anything but fresh and clean. I don't know where the other reviewers get their "beautiful marble tile bathroom" views from; to me the bathroom was... more

We spent one night in this depressing, tired hotel. The first room we were shown was dull, small, and needed updating badly. We complained and were transferred to a top floor room that was much more pleasant, with more light and room, but overall the experience was not great. I would not stay there again or recommend it. more

We booked for two weeks and left after one. The most appalling experience. We had two thirteen month old babies with us & booked a 'suite'. On the 1st day one of the cots fell apart & we had no hot water. Took several people to work out the water system the next day. The manager implied that we were... more

I stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed the spacy corner room with three large windows. Bathroom is not too large but very nicely modernised with marble tiles and very well appointed with real glass shower wall, beauty mirror, balance, large box with cosmetics to buy what I found extremely useful as I forget my razor. Staff is wonderfully friendly and... more

....it could be so much better. The location is a little way from the old town, but the trams are so good it's not really a problem. The reception staff are very friendly; more so than those in the restaurant. Unfortunately it's all a little tired and dated. I endorse the comment about peeling wallpaper; my room had cracks in... more

Stayed here for one night in April 2004. This hotel is mediocre at best. The neighborhood is OK and is reasonably quiet. The rooms were not very clean and had peeling wallpaper and bad patchwork in the bathrooms. I would not return to this hotel. more

The best hotel I stayed during my Europe trip: large rooms in style of French kings but with all modern equipment (modem hook-ups and Wireless Lan) what is most important for me as a business lady. Staff was really nice and helpful when I could not enter the W'Lan and the use of their business corner is even free of... more
