Fantastic hotel! Great staff, friendly and accommodating. Only downside was the 'funky' 3 colour lights aimed at the ceiling which generated a lot of heat and couldn't be turned off without turning all the power sockets off. more

I always stay in this hotel when I'm in Zurich. The rooms are nice and the staff are super helpful. Although on one occasion I had a room with a less nice bathroom which was disappointing. The other rooms have all been excellent. more

The hotel is in a quiet part of Zurich near the University. It is definitely not the place to go if you want to stumble a few feet to get your accomodation. I've stayed at the Plattenhof 3 or 4 times now - it is a great hotel - the staff are friendly, its a good location for the old town, the rooms are stylish and comfortable and the food is good. There's a tram stop a few minutes walk away. Perfect hotel for business travellers. more
