My Mother and I stayed here for one night on a flying/shopping visit to Amsterdam last year. The room, a twin, was small but nice. My wife and I stayed two nights at the hotel while passing through Amsterdam. Hotel is very clean, in a very quiet off-the-beaten-pass neighborhood in the main museum quarter, and breakfast was quite simple but good (lots of fresh fruit). This hotel is a good choice for those can afford it and want to stay out of the touristic centre of Amsterdam. We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Kasteelen. If you're looking for a quiet, friendly place near the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, or the Concertgebouw (all about 5-10 minutes away), this is a good place to stay. The hotel is in a great location, just minutes from the museum district, and right on two different tram lines for quick and easy transportation to Central Station, Dam Square and most all other tourist attractions.
