Stayed at the Hotel Luxer in Amsterdam for 4 nights. It was easy to find and a fantastic location bordering on the red light district within easy reach of the pubs and coffee shops. Nice clean accommodation with large air conditioned room. Did not eat in the hotel so cannot comment on the food. Would recommend. more

An ok Hotel very central for pubs cafe and red light if want to be in the middle of it all 2 mins from the station this could be the place for you, Rooms very basic but clean and tidy place more

I spent four days at the Luxer last week and while it wasn't a bad hotel, I don't think I would stay there again. This isn't really the fault of the hotel or it's staff but mainly due to it's location. Frankly I am surprised to read so many positive reviews. I booked a room at the Luxer for one night before my flight back to the States after two weeks of train travel through Germany and Benelux. The taxi really couldn`t have dropped us off much nearer. The RLD is mostly pedestrianised apart from bikes and service vehicles.
