I spent four days at the Luxer last week and while it wasn't a bad hotel, I don't think I would stay there again. This isn't really the fault of the hotel or it's staff but mainly due to it's location. Frankly I am surprised to read so many positive reviews. I booked a room at the Luxer for one night before my flight back to the States after two weeks of train travel through Germany and Benelux. The taxi really couldn`t have dropped us off much nearer. The RLD is mostly pedestrianised apart from bikes and service vehicles. After reading many many many reviews I was not sure what to expect from this hotel. I went in open minded and was pleasently suprised when we got there. It was not bad at all. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, all was well. Would stay there again with no problems. It is very centrally located! more

The hotel was average . The walls are not very sound proof , some staff were lovely . The rooms were small & cleaned daily . We didn't have any breakfast there, it's cheaper to get it some were else .The location was perfect. 5 mins walk from centeral station.Streets are very small.so you wont need taxis or the tram.everything... more
