Just back from 3 days in Amsterdam and found the Times Hotel excellent. A 12 minutes walk from Central station. Very well situated. On Herrencracht canal, which is beautiful and very peaceful. I chose this hotel because the hotel i stayed in on my first night was depressing, the Tulip Inn Dam Square, which had a great location. We spent a week end in this hotel. It is very well located in central Amsterdam, but be carefull. Service is at the minimum level, more or less like in a hostel. Our room was full of mosquitos... for 200 USD per night I expected much more more
