We stayed at the Grand Hotel Amrath over the Bank Holiday weekend in August. It's in a fabulous location (just 5 minutes walk from the Central Station) and is in the most amazing Art Deco building. the staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful (the porter even gave us a little talk on the history of the hotel whilst carrying... more

My husband and I stayed at the Amrath for 2 nights in July for his 45th birthday. We booked through Expedia and were very pleased with our room. It was spacious and clean and the complimentary mini bar was a unique selling point which I have not come across in other hotels and was a real plus. We loved the... more

This is a great hotel. Firstly it is very easy to find and a short 10 minute walk from the station. The hotel used to be an office building and as such it is unique in its layout. There isn't a main lobby as such and the reception is in a little side room. The rooms are not huge, but... more

Only stayed for one night, however was so tempted to extend our stay once we arrived. Check in was really friendly and efficient. Escorted to our room (16) which was beautiful. Furnished and decorated to compliment the deco style of the hotel, this is no mass market dull room. This is a beautiful room that is a delight with all... more

We booked 3 rooms at this hotel to accommodate 2 families (with 4 adults and 4 kids). We got two adjoining rooms and one large suite. There was a problem at check-in with the adjoining rooms (they are not guaranteed), but they worked with us to resolve it. The large suite had a separate sitting room and bedroom. It was... more

Stayed at the Amrath from the 15th-18th August. Although our room was not available until 4pm (the bar was open so it was not all bad)when we did check in we were offered a free upgrade to a superior deluxe room. The room we had was fantastic, best hotel room I have ever stayed in. Loved the way that they... more

Beautiful hotel. Took pictures of the hotel which we never did before. Free minibar was a very welcome amenity. Staff was friendly, helpful and polished in all our interactions. Amsterdam has much to see and much to do. We were there for a Wedding and stayed 7 days for a vacation. Only downside to our visit to Amsterdam was the... more

Received an upgrade to a deluxe room overlooking the canal, room was excellent, staff very helpful. I judge a good room on the bathroom and this was very good standard. Would recommend and would go back. Location was 5 minutes from the central station but quiet enough not to be disturbed. more

My husband and I stayed at the hotel Amrath for a weekend break from July 31 to Aug 3 ,2008. We arrived late due to flight delays and check in at the hotel went fine, the staff seemed very friendly and efficient. We were offered a free newspaper to be hung on our door every morning, and were also informed... more
