I really enjoyed my stay in the Hera Hotel. All the staff were lovely and helpful. Location is superb. You cannot get closer to the action. We were about 40 minutes from the airport and approximately €30. Minutes walking distance to the accropolis, plaka, all bars and restaurants. We walked to the Temple of Zeus and the Parliament without any... more

Hotel Hera is very modern, clean and updated with marble bathroom, free internet, newspapers at lobby wide range of breakfast choices and very helpful english speaking staff. It got a great view of the acropolis at their garden terrace. Located right by by the new acropolis museum, which is only open from 10-12 pm, free now as there are only... more

The Hera hotel is a good choice do to its location at the Plaka old town area, within one block from the Acropolis metro station it is very easy to reach from the airport. Walk anywhere, Acropolis, old town, shops, restaurants. Located in a neighborhood location on a very narrow small street it is private without all the Athens traffic... more

Great hotel close to the acropolis. Wonderful rooftop terrace with spectacular nightime views of the parthenon. Excellent food! Wished could have stayed longer. Booked a single room which was small but had everything one could need. Very nice marble bathroom. Breakfast was included and was surprised to see hot items (eggs, bacon, sausage) on the menu as well as the... more

The Hera Hotel is located near the Plaka and Acropolis and is a great place to stay. 1. You can't ask for a better location to visit the Acropolis and Plaka/Monastiraki/Syntagma area. From the Akropoli Metro station to the hotel is a short walk to the south, the Plaka a short walk to the north and the Acropolis a short... more

In 2006 my wife, teenage son and I had planned on a trip to Greece and we were to stay at the Ava Hotel. Foot surgery for my son cancelled those plans. When I contacted the Ava for our trip in '08, they had raised the price of their executive apartment (separate bedroom and living room with sofa sleeper) to... more

Location was fantastic! The rooftop restaurant and bar were amazing -- good food and great service. Evi and Eri were our servers and they were great.. We stayed here twice for a total of 4 nights within 12 days. The first time, our room was so cramped, we moved one of the chairs to the balcony so that we could... more

Hera is located close to everything. It is a clean, efficient hotel. the breakfast in the morning was excellent. The two negatives; the beds are like rocks, very hard. second, we booked a triple, we were never told that the second bed was a cot. They take a double and put a cot in the room. We barely had room... more
