Almost everything about this 5-star hotel was 5-star. We upgraded to a Junior suite and on reflection we were glad that we did. It looked, from the outside, that there was a lot more room and rooms as well as several perks; occasional fruit (not every 2 days), newspaper, water, DVD etc. There seemed to be a shortage of sheets... more

expensive but I think worth it. Great location...great facilties and the staff was espcially helpful doing everything from rearranging ferry tickets with a local travel agent to recommending good local restaurants. We were in an older part of the hotel, but the room was still spacious and well appointed. Great breakfeast buffet too. more

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and our first trip to Crete. We just have a couple of observations for those coming here, or thinking of doing so. Have just returned from a weeks holiday at Elounda Village. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were courteous and attentive, particularly the bar staff and reception. We have recently returned from a 1 week relaxing break at the Elounda village and the hotel truly exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival we were allocated 1 of the brand new Superior sea view rooms - sea photos which was simply beautiful. Room cleaned twice daily, fresh towels, fruit, water and flowers. The Elounda Village Hotel is very nice. It's set in pretty grounds that are very well maintained. The hotel has a nice (if small) man-made private beach, with plenty of sun loungers.
