A OK hotel. Biggest advantage is its location. Opposite to the railway station and walkable distance from downtown. (15-20 minutes) Guy at reception was friendly, provided directions. Breakfast is simple but good. However rooms looked a bit outdated. Bathrooms need refurbishing. Biggest issue was, the person in reception on last day do not know how to charge my credit card.... more

Like BornAgainChristian wrote nearby are clubs and sex workers but still are is OK. Next to Hotel is good parking area (10€/night) and only walking distance to downtown. Room was clean but in bathroom it was easy to see that it had met some destructive guests. Reception was friendly and helpful but we saw nobody at breakfast room and run... more

The Hotel Rex is just a block from the Thessalonica train station and easily accessable. We were please with everything although we had our doubts when we arrived. A Sex Shop and strip club sit next door (they were apparently closed--at least this time of the year???) We wondered if the hotel would be a place with "hourly rates" from... more
