We had a 5th floor rroom facing West so when we arrived the room was very hot - as mentioned before there is no air conditionoing. We asked for an air-conditioned room away from the lift (I'd read reviews on the web that not all rooms had aircon). I was told all the rooms had been upgraded to aircon now. They hadn't been. We have just returned from the Salthouse where we celebrated my Mum's 90th birthday, this will most definitely not be our last visit. The check in was friendly and efficient, setting the precedent for the whole of our stay. We loved our balcony rooms overlooking the marina. My stay was perfect, easy check in, friendly young staff, very obliging and helpfull nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were gorgeous,exceptionly clean and tidy. The food was superb, 1st class,excellent service. Breakfast I had served to my room on time as per my request. The views over the Marina were fantastic. I wish I could have stayed longer.... more

This was our 3rd stay at this beautiful hotel. It just keeps getting better and better. I would not normally go for such a modern looking interior, but the Salthouse really has that wow factor. A relatively new addition to the market, this privately owned hotel is funky and has everything you need on a business trip. Very well designed throughout, very comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms with a smart restaurant with reasonable food and service. more

This was my second visit to Salthouse Harbour and it was a joy to go back. Reading earlier reviews I can see the points regarding the stained carpets.
