We stayed at the Wee Waif for 2 nights. The rooms were pretty standard and could do with a bit of maintance, but they were clean and the bed was comfortable. when we got there , our bedroom floor was flooded from a leak in the bathroom, so we had to wait 30 mins for a new room, after a rough nights sleep, breakfast was a challange, tea was warm ,the waitress (if that what she was) brought us our breakfast it was burned and she used her sleeve to carry... more

Needs to be dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century! bathrooms particularly look very tired. The man checking out in front of me mentioned that the shower was cold - this was met with complete indifference by the receptionist. Nice breakfast tho' - highlight of the stay.... more

Decent value for the rooms, with a reasonable standard of accomodation. The pub/restaurant was very welcoming, with good food and drink and the staff were very friendly and helpful. more

I stayed here for easy access to the Thames Valley Business Park because all the decent hotels in Reading were booked up. It is a ten minute drive from TVP and is situated on a roundabout and next to a petrol station. My room was quiet enough since it looked over the car park but I would expect rooms overlooking... more
