The Garth provides excellent food, accommodation and hospitality. We have stayed there several times very happily. They're a dog-friendly hotel, and usually try to give the dog-owner a room towards the rear, which provides very convenient access to a spacious grassy wooded area at the rear, without going through the hotel. Excellent table-service in the dining-room. Also, well-situated as a... more

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room wasn't huge but I loved how it was decorated. It was really clean and comfortable! What really made the difference was the staff. I was on a mission to watch the ICC Cricket Tournament and the staff called around to various bars to find out who was showing it. That was above... more

There is no point discussing this hotel in any way other than to say the noise levels are horrendous. The walls are paper thin. We were kept awake most of the night by snoring from other residents and then (as the other residents awoke) the sounds of doors, televisions, showers and footsteps. And this was with the windows closed. This... more

We stayed here on the strength of the TripAdvisor reviews, and were very disappointed. The staff were really friendly, our deluxe room (over the dining room) was clean if a little small, and the bathroom was recently refurbished and OK. Breakfast was OK, but everything swimming in fat! The hotel was full and we soon realised that there may as... more

This is an excellent hotel, lovely modern refurbished bedrooms spotlessly clean with good facilities and lots of space. Hotel very traditional in public areas, excellent restaurant with beautiful food. Staff are very welcoming, helpful and friendly. I stayed here with my son who is 3 years old and they were very family friendly. Good childrens menu in the restaurant and... more

Two night stay early April 2007. What a fantastic place. Breakfast outstanding. Hot, good choice, pleasantly served by friendly, efficient staff. Rooms wonderful. Evening meal was brilliant, as we were "half board" we got an allowance from the a la carte menu, not a cheapo set menu to choose from. We will definitely be back. WE LOVED THE GARTH more

I concur with the reviews on here as most have got it just right. Well, all except for one reviewer who said the rooms were spacious! Pets aren't allowed but if you had to take one make sure it is a cat and it has a short tail. I can only assume that that reviewer and family were small people.... more

Having read the reviews and had a look at the website, I booked myself, girlfriend and her mother into the Garth, with a slight feeling of trepidation. The Hotel Pretty hotel on in Grantown on Spey, which is pretty enough. Located on the road but was not noisy when we were there. The Rooms Modern decoration and certainly not as... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel and loved it. It is well situated in the town, nicely furnished and clean. Whilst our room was quite small I thought it was very good value for money and would definately recommend it. more
