We were lucky enough to stay at this beautiful manor house for one night during our visit to Scotland. The location, hotel, room, food, etc. was perfect and definitely worth the price. The hotel is very remote and peaceful...which was much appreciated after the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh. My husband was able to get in a game of golf... more

This used to be a quiet, warm, cosy retreat with excellent traditional scottish food, roaring log fires and unobtrusive service. Tranquility at it's best. The new owners have managed to remove everything that made this hotel worth staying in. It is noisy, has lost its atmosphere, very cold, with a small pretentious nouveau cuisine menu. The dining room is now... more

Sigh...Unfortunately this reviewer harks back to those vitriolic few who still can't accept the improvements made to Dalmunzie since we took over in Feb 2004. A glance at the vast majority of reviews will give you an accurate picture of how guests actually see Dalmunzie. The comments are, I'm afraid completely laughable and pertain to an extremely small minority. I...

We spent one night at the Dalmunzie, and would happily have stayed for longer! Our room was beautiful, with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, and the overall dining experience was lovely - definitely recommend for a special occasion as it was a real treat. The... more

Stayed at the hotel with my girlfriend for a weekend to celebrate my 30th birthday. It was a lovely hotel, the staff were really friendly and helpful and the food was unbelievable. Don't think i've had such a nice meal at a hotel ever..... The room was great, still had lots of character and made a nice change from bland... more

We have just returned from a night at Dalmunzie for my parents 40th wedding anniversary. From the moment of booking the hotel staff could not do enough for us and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were stunning and spotlessly clean. The bed was amazimgly comfy. The food was amazing and the staff extremely attentive. We had even arranged... more

2nd visit and just as good. A lovely property in a stunning location. It's incredibly romantic. The restaurant is exceptionally good, cosy and truly amazing food, with lots of surprises. I do wish they did not pour my wine every time I took a sip though; it made me feel rushed into buying more. There is a lovely bar and... more

My boyfriend booked a romantic night at Dalmunzie - somewhere I have been looking to stay for quite some time. We were there for one night and to be fair if you stay longer there seems to be plenty of outside and inside activities to take advantage of. As it was we wanted peace and quiet and relaxation so we... more

Beautiful country house in lovely rural location. Very attentive and well trained staff (though some may find them a little over the top and insincere). Room was a little disappointing (Poole). Bathroom could certainly to with a bit of tidying up (ie not old and authentic - just 70s effort in need of updating). Really great dinner. Food beautifully presented... more

We spent a wonderful romantic weekend at Dalmunzie in March. From first contact to make a booking inquiry until the moment we left staff were very efficient and friendly.Throughout our stay staff did everything possible to make our weekend special. All the little touches added up to an unforgettable stay, from the complimentary sherry in our room, to the lovely... more

My husband and I spent two nights here to celebrate his birthday. Having seen mixed reviews on trip advisor, i wondered what it would be like, but I needn't have worried. The food was absolutely excellent, the bed comfortable (though we always wish for sheets and blankets instead of duvets! We know we are unusual in this). some people have... more
