We have recently returned from a half term skiing holiday, having taken with us our 14 year old daughter and her friend. Never having been to Livigno before, we did not have any particular expectations. The resort itself is perfect for beginners and intermediate skiers. It is high enough to guarantee snow. Stayed at the Alaska with FIrst Choice Ski. Would definately recommend the hotel but not First Choice! I've just returned from a week long stay at Hotel Alaska and would rate the hotel as 'okay'. Would defintely return to Livigno (fantastic place!) but would opt for somewhere nicer than Hotel Alaska. Plus points * the hotel is in a good location for beginners being a ten minute walk away from one of the main ski schools *... more

I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Alaska but make sure you keep your belongings with you at all times! I mistakenly left my mobile phone in the hotel room, the hotel advised they would send it back to me in the UK but never did, they kept it - It is a shame that you cannot trust a family... more

A very cosy, homely , friendly, family run hotel. Rooms are nice and the food excellent. Enjoyed my stay there in Jan 2004 and am going back there in Jan 2005 more
