Stayed at this hotel with a tour group of 50 from Northern Ireland having booked through the Belfast Telegraph in conjunction with a company called The Travel Department. We were on a tour of 4 nights in Tuscany & 4 nights at Lake Garda. Everything about the holiday was fine except for this hotel. We were herded in like sheep... more

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights on our way cruising Italy. We had a suite for a very decent price with a good bed and an amazing view over Montecatini. Of course you find huge groups, because Montecatini is a Termen place where a lot of big groups with older aged people want to get cured. Montecatini however... more

We stayed at the Ambasciatori November 3 - 10 with a Collette Tour Group. It seems that this hotel, and the others in the immediate area, do most of their business with tour companies as there were buses lined up every morning. It's probably a good thing for this hotel, as it is barely suitable for a vacation stay and... more

Hotel is in a very good location - right off the park and near the city center. Staff is friendly, but the hotel is worn and dated. The elevators are very small and can only hold 3 or 4 people - only 2 if there is luggage. The meals are adequate, but repetitive and bland in taste and appearance. The... more

We stayed at the Ambasciatori for seven nights. We were a group of 46. There was another tour group in the hotel in addition to us. The Ambasciatori is NOT equipped nor prepared for large groups. The coffee service in the morning is a machine! One cup at a time. We were promised that thermoses would be on the tables... more

The hotel was seemingly modern on the outside but old fashioned on the inside. The majority of the guests chose to use the stairs as the lifts were impractically small and very slow. The twin beds in our room were very narrow and uncomfortable. The view from our small window was onto the internal fire escape. The bath had cracked... more

We were a group of 25 that just returned from a 2 night stay at this hotel. Some of the rooms were adequate, but most of us found the cleanliness less than desired. Many of the drains were slow and at least one sink was entirely plugged with hair that was extracted in front of a woman in our group.... more

The Grand Hotel Ambasciatori was selected for our group of thirty by our tour operator for a six night stay. The hotel offers classic Italian charm with large public reception areas, a nice bar, and a full dining room. Breakfast is a strong point. The hotel is convenient to town, to restaurants, the spa, and to the train station. Florence,... more

We stayed at the Grand Ambasciatori in Montecatini between 6 13 August. The hotel was a nice big building in the centre of the town with lovely public areas and a nice reception. The rooms were basic with classic Italian decoration and also the classic Italian trick of a double bed being two twin beds pushed together! Our room however... more
