I have just returned from travelling all over Europe in July/August of 2008 and of all the hotels/B&B's we stayed in, Villa La Tartana was by far the most beautiful hotel in the most beautiful spot of the most beautiful town in the world. My fiancee had planned to propose in Santorini but when he laid eyes on this wonderful... more

This hotel wasn't our first choice, but what a surprize! The rooms are modest, but clean and upbeat. The hotel is in a prime, convenient location. So what was so special? An incredible staff and warm, congenial owner. It was raining, they gave us nice umbrellas to keep. They gave us presents for staying there, but, more importantly, they helped... more

We loved this place. More like a hotel than a b&b, but staff was extremely friendly. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The views from the terrace are spectacular, and make the whole trip to Positano worthwhile. Breakfast is served on your terrace each morning, you choose the time and the items you want (the standard Italian breakfast fare).... more

We were referred to Villa La Tartana by a colleague of mine -- we were so well taken care of by the staff. The hotel is located in a fantastic location down from one of the main squares and just a very short walk from the sea front. The staff were incredibly kind and full of suggestions about what to... more

I have been coming to Italy since I was born and have spent many of years visiting Positano. I have stayed at Covo de saraceni, Bucco Di Baco., Eden Roc and Le Sirenuse at this little B&B was truly one of my best stays ever. We were served a great breakfast on out terrace everymorning at the time we chose.... more

We stayed in La Tartana for 4 nights and this was too long. Not only were the rooms uncomfortable but after 2 days you have seen and done everything there is to do in and around this town. The rooms are indeed tiny, with barely enough space to put a suitcase. The bathroom is a squeeze for 1 person and... more

This is a quiet, small, clean inn - and a great value for Positano. It's right next to the Duomo, just steps from the beach and from many terrific restaurants. It's clean, the front desk is eager to help with suggestions/reservations, the views are fantastic, the breakfast is yummy and served on the balcony, the furnishings are functional. Yes, you... more

We spent two wonderful nights at the Villa La Tartana in early October 2007 and couldn't have been happier. The room was large as was the bathroom and it had a great view of the beach and coastline from the private balcony. Breakfast was served on the balcony each morning and was very good.... you were able to fill out... more

I loved the service at the hotel. They always were friendly and were concerned about how you were doing and very helpful. It was recommended by the concierge that we eat at Cafe Positano and she set up our reservation so we had excellent seating when we got to the restaurant. This was one of the best meals we had... more
