Sure the restaurant is nice, the beach facilities are good. Pool looks appealing. Grounds are attractive. But the rooms are OLD and seriously lacking investment. Struggle to see how a 4 star hotel can have such poor accomodation. Mould in the bathroom and poor noise insulation. This was the most expensive 4 star hotel we stayed in Italy and was... more

This hotel is truly located "pieds dans l'eau", 20 meters steps from the dining room to the beach. All possible facilities at hand, sail rental, powerboat, tennins court, swimming pool. My husband and I stayed at Del Golfo for ten days. We had reserved a sea view room, but when we arrived the hotel upgraded us to the only suite in the entire complex. Everything about the hotel, the beach and Elba was wonderful.
