OVER PRICED RIP OFF!! Pass this hotel by! Over rated and not a 5 star by any means! The hotel and rooms are tiny tiny, run down furnishings and carpet with a musky smell throughout the hotel. No one greets you at the front reception, service is poor. The food in the dining room was cold and overpriced. Poor quality.... more

We stayed in the Park Hotel for two nights in June and I have to say it was fantastic. The Hotel is old style/traditional in the best sense. Great overall service without being intrusive. While the Hotel is on the pricey side, all the little extras, do make it a worthwhile visit. There is also a fantastic spa within the... more

Couldn't have wished to stay at a better place during our honeymoon in September 2007. We only stayed one night but would have loved to stay for longer. The Hotel gave us a free upgrade from a standard double room to an amazing suite that spread right across the front of the house, overlooking the glorious gardens and mountains. Although... more

We are just back from a stay at The Park and loved it. We were surprised at how well kids are catered for, free meal at 6pm followed by popcorn and DVD in the hotel cinema while the adults have dinner plus a baby listening service. Great not haveing kids running around the restaurant. Kids also stayed complimentary (I know... more

This hotel is overrated. The decor is shabby eclectic. My room was a mix of yard sale and discount store overstocks. When I checked in I overheard a well heeled couple complaining that there were cooking odors in their room and that for the price they were paying, that was unacceptable. The rates are extortionately high for the rooms, the... more

My husband and I stayed at the Park for two nights in the middle of our two week trip to Ireland. Although I was morbidly jet lagged when we arrived, there is something about this hotel (and of course, it's beautiful grounds) that induces peaceful, happy sleep. Maybe it was the delicious food (which was sort of Irish meets French,... more

We stayed three days at the Park and greatly enjoyed it. Our room (de-luxe) was very big with a large sitting area and a four poster bed. Beautiful view looking over the hotel gardens down to the Kenmare river. The hotel definitely has a period feel and is full of antiques. A very warm welcome - and indeed we found... more

I've stayed in a few hundred hotels in my life, in more than a dozen countries... and this, so far, is my favorite. Overall, nothing I've stayed in beats it. I can't recommend it strongly enough. Details... GOOD: --The setting is nothing less than spectacular. From the hotel, the view is idyllic to the point of looking unreal. The view... more

We stayed at the Park Hotel Kenmare for 4 nights in October 2007. The hotel is the very epitome of what I imagine Ireland accommodations to look like! It’s an older building, but has all the amenities of a modern-day hotel. The hotel is located in a prime location, right on the edge of the town of Kenmare. You simply... more
