I have a few tips about this resort that I would like to share. First and foremost- if there is any way you can afford it-book a Casita Suite, we stayed in the Jr.Jacuzzi Ocean front suite, which was very nice, however we were not aware of the advantages to staying in the Casita. This resort is the nicest resort that we ever seen. We had a terrific time. We went for our honeymoon in May. We satyed in a Casita Swim up Jacuzzi and It was just beautiful. We had an amazing honeymoon at the El Dorado Casitas resort! The rooms are truly spectacular with outside showers open to the stars, jacuzzis in room, hammocks and beds on the balconies... and so much space! There are also rooms available that you can "swim up" to, which looked great. We were on the second floor which was nice, too.... more

This was our second time to visit the El Dorado Royale and we were even more impressed!! What a nice getaway and the casitas are a must!! If you are debating between the types of rooms, SPLURGE on the casitas b/c you WONT BE DISSAPOINTED!! Top Notch Service - we will be back at least 1x per year more

Please - if you are slightly worried by the negative reviews on this website ignore them all. This is absolutely one of the best adults only resorts with gourmet food, brand name alcohol, luxury rooms, 1st class service, amazing grounds and gardens. We stayed in an ocean front suite for the 1st few days but a Casita suite became available... more

Upon arrival you can't help but notice how beautiful everything is everywhere. The landscaping is well kept along with every other aspect of the resort.
