Although I knew the hotel was not directly on the beach, I was very disappointed to discover that my "ocean view" room did not have a view of the ocean unless I was using binoculars. We just returned from an 8-day stay at the Lazy Parrot - just loved it. We arrived very early in the day due to the airline's schedule, but were given our room anyway (Thank you very much!!!) Went to the Lazy Parrot for the second half of our Rincon vacation - the first half was spent at an all inclusive resort on the other side of the city that couldn't hold a candle to the Lazy Parrots atmosphere. Just finished seven days @ Lazy Parrot. Wonderful stay. Very relaxing and quiet. The staff was wonderful right down to retrieving a replacement key for the lost one to the rental car. This is a great little inn. The food and bar drinks were quite good and the staff were very friendly. The rooms are clean and inexpensive. It is also in perfect location close to beaches and the town. Great value for the price. I was impressed. more

The Lazy Parrot is a nice unpretentious place with a ridiculously pretentious restaurant. THe prices are way above those of Western Puerto RIco in general (you'd do way better at the Tamboo Tavern, Sandy Beach Surf Club or The Spot) and the waiters DEMAND 20% which is much more than the average tipping policy in WPR (geneally between 12-15%).
