Our taxi drive out there took ages and we became worried that we were miles and miles out - but the next day, it turned out to be less than 15 mins into the city centre by tram and was a really simple and very cheap journey. The taxi driver never found it in the end and we walked the... more

We had a fleeting 48 hours in Budapest with a Ryanair budget flight . I found Uhu Villa through their website and got a discounted online and out of season rate - the whole trip costing us no more than 100 UK pounds. We adored the hotel - staff were attentive and really helpful with a fabulous command of English.... more

This is a nice quite hotel with good size rooms with a swimming pool and internet available for use. The breakfast was extra but good, I have had a better choice in budapest though. As the tram lines are being re laid the journey from Moskver Ter meant catching a bus no 56 to Akedemia and then the 56 tram... more

I had high expectations of the Uhu Vill after seeing their website and was really looking forward to my stay. The taxi from the airport to the hotel took a reasonable 40 mins, although we were charged more than had been previousy agreed with the hotel who arranged the transport. The hotel is at the top of a very steep... more

Pin-clean, situated next to a lovely forest preserve, unbelievably kind and helpful staff, great food, comfy chairs, delicious local wines at a reasonable price..... All I have to do to make my three young-adult daughters sigh wistfully is whisper "uhu." They went from staying with us at Uhu Villa to a series of tawdry hostels in Prague and Vienna. When... more

The Uhu hotel is a converted villa in a quiet, residential area, with small, but adequate rooms and a cosy parlour. For a smoke you can sit on a deck, adjacent to the bar. Yes, it is offside from the main tourist quarters, but relaxing after a hard day's sightseeing. We stayed 4 nights in the hotel and enjoyed it.... more

We spent a few nights at the Villa in early October and we loved the location. It is very quiet and relaxing, away from the noisy city. It is very accessible by public transportation and only an 8-10 minute walk to the nearest tram stop that takes you into the city center in about 20 minutes. The staff is friendly... more

My wife and I spent 6 nights with "The Owls" at Uhu Villa. The staff were very helpful in booking cabs, restaurants, orchestra tickets, etc. We had planned on spending several evenings having dinner at the Uhu restaurant, however, it was undergoing renovation (spell that: "looking for a new chef"). The hotel clientele were quite diverse. We met businessmen, same-sex... more

We recently spent 5 nights at the Uhu Villa and while the hill up to the villa is a bit steep it got easier with each passing day. The villa is impeccably furnished and we found the staff to be very gracious. It was nice knowing that after a busy day in Budapest that we would be returning to the... more

My wife & I were very disappointed with this facility. This is a boutique hotel, tastefully decorated, but is very impractical from a tourist's point of view. It's situated at a top of a hill, and is quite far from all important centers of the city. Unless you're planning on renting a car, or using cabs as a mode of... more
