I found this hotel on Travelocity and booked it for a weekend away with my 2 best girlfriends. When we arrived, we were scared of what we would find, since the price had been so affordable for the three of us. We were pleasantly surprised. We had called ahead to let them know that we would be arriving late, and... more

Hello and Good Day! Thank you so much for the kind words. I do hope that you are feeling better. How was the trip back home? You know there is nothing better than a cup of soup when you are feeling ill but next time don’t worry we’ll get the medicine for you, all you need to do is ask!...

I wish I could say better things about this hotel, but everyone needs to know about my horrible experience at The Hotel George. It's a cute, botique hotel close to Union Station, but I'm sure there are so many better options in D.C. The Restaurant is expensive and hours are inconvenient for business travelers. Parking is only valet. The bellman... more

Dear W0rldtraveler2000, Thank you for you recent comments and feedback on Tripadvisor. I sincerely apologize for the discomfort caused by the fire alarm during the night of your visit. Fortunately, there was no damage or injury; however, I certainly understand that the disruption was very inconvenient. I would be more than happy to discuss the incent in more detail with...

I wish I could be more enthusiastic about this hotel but the only selling point is the proximity to Union Station. Terrible coffee and noise at night did not make for a pleasant stay. more

I was more than pleased with my recent stay at the Hotel George. My GPS took my right to the front door where we were able to get valet parking, luggage service, and check in all within just a couple minutes. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. The bathroom was larger than some hotel rooms I have been... more

Hello and Good Day! Thank you so much for your kind words. It is greatly appreciated. I am so glad that you enjoyed every aspect of your stay. The location is a huge plus for the hotel as well as the wonderful Bistro Bis which is well known in the city. I hope that you are able to return soon...

I stayed for a weekend in February 08. As a hotel I felt the George was very good - well equipped rooms, stylish restaurant/bar and courteous staff at a reasonable price. On this basis I would stay again. I had no problems with the issues raised by previous posters, though I did have a room at the front of the... more

Stayed for the weekend with a group of 10 .. best part of hotel is restaurant .. at least 4 stars .. front desk worked very hard to accomodate a deluge at check-in .. rooms are large enough and the amenities are above average .. some of rooms are oddly laid out but not hard to either work or simply... more

My girlfriend and my son stayed at the Hotel George in November. The hotel was excellent, the staff friendly and helpful. Great location, 5 minute walk from Union Station. 5 minuts from the Capital and about 10 minutes from the Smithsonian. Great deal on the price of accommodation as well. We will definitely be back more

My husband travels extensively and is very picky. I chose this hotel because we were traveling with a baby and wanted something close to Union Station (thank heavens, since we were 3+hours delayed on Amtrak, and arrived exhausted). It was great to be a couple of blocks from Union Station. The hotel staff were excellent. The room was very nice... more

I chose this hotel following other reviews and ratings. Staff was courteous and helpful, and the room was nicely decorated and comfortable. There was a complimentary wine tasting, and an adjoining french restaurant which was crowded. In the lobby was the aroma of french food, which was much to my liking. I used the steam room, which was nice at... more

Overall I liked this hotel. I have a preference for boutique hotels as they offer a more interesting experience. Here are my Pros and Cons: 1. Location (1 block from gorgeous Union station) is a plus for those cramming in multiple site-seeing locations and not wanting to cab. This is NOT the location for those looking to walk out of... more
