We stayed at the Doubletree on Rhode Island. It is not far walking distance to the monuments (20 min) and white house (10 min). The area surrounding the hotel is very nice. It is near DuPont Circle which is a great area. We felt very safe in this area walking around both during the day and at night. The front... more

Everything went smoothly....Check in was a breeze. Even through priceline, we got a nice room with the number of beds needed. Remote did not work on check-in but a quick call to the front desk and they were up and fixed the problem with 5 mins. Very convienent to everything. Metro was a 5 min walk away. Felt safe around... more

The Hotel Doubletree Washington is about an 8 minute walk from Dupont Circle and the Metro stop located there. Johns Hopkins University and a number of embassy's are in the immediate area, and the neighborhood feels safe at all hours. Our cost through priceline.com was $119/rm/night ($135.60 with taxes and fees), which was about half the rate given by the... more

The parking is $26 per day, even though the daily price was OK for us, the final expense was beyond our budget. We stayed for 3 nights, from the first night we had requested for a crib for our baby, but until the last day, we didn't got one. So we three squeezed on the full size bed for three... more

I loved the Doubletree. Just the bed alone was worth it! I don't know what it was but the bed afforded me the best sleep ever! I had six pillows....unreal luxory. We got a junior suite...Since I was traveling with a male friend and since we wanted our privacy he took the "living room area" and I took the bedroom.... more

I'll try to be brief. The restaurant on site plays music 24 hrs a day and we had to listen to the bass every minute that we were in our room. We were on the 7th floor even. When we complained, they acted like they couldn't hear it and couldn't do anything because they were full that night. The room... more

Got this through Priceline 140$ a night during a weekday. Wouldn't have paid more. Price on site was 350$. Hotel is your avg 3 star hotel. Stayed on the 3rd floor and it smelled like smoke. Try to avoid rooms near elevators as they have the ice machine as well and it can get noisy between people wanting to get... more

I had to book at this property because the hotel in which my conference was held was sold out. Location/Check-in First, be very careful and ensure you want to stay at this hotel. Their cancellation policy is a 24 hour one, not a day of, like most Hilton properties I've stayed. I tried to cancel same day, and they weren't... more

I was traveling with my family and needed a place to stay in Washington, DC for just one nite. The Doubletree was fine. The room we stayed in with 2 double beds was fine, although the bathroom was tiny - and didn't have full amenities like showercap, nail file and the things you're used to getting at a hotel like... more

The room was clean but did have cosmetic issues; paint chipping, cracks in the ceiling, etc. The major issues I had with the hotel were the food stunk!!! Over priced and not even close to being worth the money. If you have time (which I didn’t ) venture out, there are great restaurants in the area. My only other complaint... more
