I am sad to see some rear bad reviews of my favorite place in DC. We love the Kalorama at Woodley Park. We will return once more in the Spring for Cherry Blossom.I agree the prices are too high now though. I asked and was told about the changes and all that but this is how things go. I do... more

I have been a regular visitor to the Kalorama Guest House at Woodley Park for years and have stayed in nearly every room in both homes on Cathedral Avenue. Though it was never the poshest of places, it was rather like going to Grandma's house, squeaky floorboards, tired bathrooms, and all. But the "all" included great customer service, respect, and... more

I was most impressed with the pre stay service, I called ahead to confirm my booking as I had booked through another site, they had all of my details right there and were extremely helpful and cheerful on the phone. Upon arrival I was welcomed into the hotel and was given cold lemonade and shown around the breakfast room etc.... more

I stayed in the annex (room 18) to the Kalorama Guest House in Woodley Park at the end of Feb. 2007 for 3 nights. Positives: The room was large and clean, the bed was firm, and housekeeping supplied clean towels and made the bed every day. There was a sink in the room. The shared bathroom (shared by 3 rooms... more

Looking for something for less than $100 a night for a week in Washington. The Kalorama was fine.Very neat and tidy . Shared a bathroom without any problems. A short stroll to the amazing underground rail and lots of reasonably priced restaurants. more

My wife and I spent the week before July 4th at this fine establishment. We flew into Reagan airport and took the metro to the Woodley Metro stop. From there it was about a 10 minute walk mostly through several neighborhoods and several sidewalks. My first impression was not a good one! We got our key to room 25 and... more

Wanted to pay less than $100 a night for a place in Washington D.C. during the Cherry Blossom festival, and came across this gem during my searches on tripadvisor. Walk from the Woodley Park station is only 10 mins at most and is well-lit. Area is full of superb Victorian-style, terrace housing. We stayed at the Mintwood location, in case... more

This was my first stay at a B&B. My wife found Kalorama on TripAdvisor and it sounded like a quaint lil’ place. We weighed the options in price and offerings vs. a big chain hotel in D.C. and decided that we’d give this place a try. We were there for four days in mid November of 2005. Parking is hell,... more

We booked a room there because everything else that I could find online was booked. Much to our suprise, we absolutely loved our stay in Kalorama, my husband and I. Yes, it is quaint, and the house is old, but it's a lovely neighbourhood, cosy rooms, warm atmosphere, nice b/f with real plates and china, close to metro, and complimentary... more

My 3rd year coming to Dc and I won't stay anywhere else. pretty neighborhood, near a yoga studio, and celtic bar with live music down the street and the train. Cut little rooms and quaint people. More europeans than americans, thank God! more
