I stayed at the Phoenix Park during a business meeting as the office was nearby. The Irish theme is nice, the rooms were very comfortable (the beds especially soft), and the staff is good (not great in my opinion.) The evening turn down is a nice touch. The hotel is close to Union Station, and the area is fine during... more

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed our beds, evening turndown and our restaurant and pub. We are quite surprised regarding your safety concern for our area. We have not received any comments in the past with this particular concern. For a popular neighborhood in a large city, it is considered quite safe. If you care to...

This hotel is in a great location across from the Smithsonian Postal Museum, one block from Union Station (Metro, Amtrak and dining / shopping), an easy walk to Capitol Hill destinations. The room was smallish, clean, well maintained, and included a large flat screen TV. The king size bed was very comfortable and featured upscale linens and pillows. The huge... more

This was our second stay at this hotel. Excellent location; across from Union Station (Metro), easy walk to the capitol. The room was clean, well maintained, large flat screen TV. The king size bed was AMAZING! Staff was very helpful. more

Disabled room very small and double bed far too high for such a room(disabled)the stool was a nice idea but when you have difficulty moving because you have mobility problems then a step is a liability! It was extremely difficult to get my husband into bed because of the unusual height of the bed- I am long-legged and I could... more

My husband and I stayed at the Phoenix Park and I was not impressed overall. We were given a room that was very small. It had a king sized bed and between this and the large desk there was no room to move about in the room, in fact you couldn't pull the chair out to sit at the desk... more

When I checked in at 10 PM, two pet peeves were realized: the woman behind the desk announced my room number (there was a man standing right there) and when I got to the room it was clearly a smoking room. Had to go all the way back down to get a new room. They hemmed and hawed about getting... more

Room was small but classy and comfortable. Not enough clearance between bed and desk to pull chair out, so desk was hard to work at. Service and amenities were top-notch, though. Much, much better than staying at a large chain property. One block from Metro and Union Station - easy to get around and provided many choices for restaurants. Hotel... more

If you like older historic type hotels, you will love this one! We really liked the room. A little cozy but felt warm and comfortable. We had a double bed room for our family of four and we fit just fine. As others have said, the bed is sooo comfortable. The linens are wonderful. That includes the bath towels which... more

Stayed at Phoenix Park Hotel on August 13th for 3 nights. Location was very convenient to Union Station metro stop, so it was easy to get around to all the sites. The double bedded room was spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. Kudo's to the bell hops that work here, they were extremely pleasant and very helpful. I booked... more

I stayed here as part of a group of 4, with 2 rooms. My room didn't have much of a view as it faced into a courtyard, but the other room had a sweeping view over the nearby area. First and foremost, the rooms are very comfortable, if a little compact. The beds are definitely the highlight and are among... more
