We booked this hotel almost solely on the recommendations from this site and were really glad that we did. The location is great (about 25 minutes walk to the White House) and the price is too. The rooms were clean and very spacious, the staff were helpful and polite. Having the living area on the inside of the atrium meant... more

Was last here in spring of 07. This time it was easter break. LOTS OF CHILDREN!!!! The staff did an amazing job with the F&B for Breakfast and Manager's reception. The hotel did switch over to compact florescent lighting in the room fixtures. Grade A for effort, but D for execution. They have mixed color types. Some fixtures within the... more

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during a recent trip to DC. The hotel is located in a nice area with restaurants within walking distance and a drugstore right around the corner. The breakfast was a definite bonus for a family with 4 children. There was something for everyone to eat. The staff was friendly and seemed very... more

After reading such glowing reviews for this hotel, I was stunned to find what I did. The rooms were run-down and shabby. The carpeting was stained and dirty. The furniture scratched. The cushions and decorative pillows stained. The front desk was rude. And the parking was several blocks from the hotel. Apparently they had met the capacity in their own... more

I have been staying at Embassy Suites with my parents since I was a little kid but this was my first trip as an adult. It had been a good amount of years and the only memory I had was the giant goldfish in the streams that run through the lobby. Well this trip will be one I will not... more

We recently stayed at the Embassy Suites for a quick famiily vacation. It was just perfect for our trip. Both metro stations are closeby, making getting around the city easy. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Plenty of food at breakfast, and it really made this hotel a great value for the location. The kids thought it was... more

The Embassy Suites Convention Center, DC was an excellent location to stay and see all the sites in DC. Easy 15 minute walk to the White House, Spy Museum and 20 mins from the Mall. The rooms are perfect for families traveling with kids. The previous problems listed regarding the buffet breakfast seemed to be resolved. We were down at... more

Stayed here last weekend w/ our 3 kids. The room was large enough to accomodate all of us pretty comfortably. The location makes getting around easy by metro, taxi or foot. And, my kids couldn't wait to get back to the hotel, there was lots to do - pool, small game room, ride in the glass elevator etc. The breakfast... more

My wife, 2 children and myself booked in for one week on Mar 16 the hotel is very central and very close to metro. The room was more than adequate and we had no complaints. Everybody at reception were very friendly and this became very evident in the middle of the week when we had to cut short our vacation... more

We chose this hotel for a family junket to DC with two kids, ages 11 & 14 because of the location, free breakfast and reviews on this site. We were not disappointed! Our room was a King suite with a seperate Queen sleeper sofa that the kids shared. The room was clean and well furnished. Our bed was divine, though... more
