We found our stay at the Hotel Harrington to be surpisingly pleasant and convenient. While it was not The Ritz, it was extremely affordable, close to everything, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were surprised to read some of the horrible reviews, as the Harrington is truly not that bad. The rooms are average size, it was... more

I read reviews of this hotel, so going in I did not have high expectations. We visited DC the week of July 19-25. I was pleased with the hotel, even though it had its quirks. What I don't understand is the people that have given it bad reviews before. What do they expect for a hotel that is around $100-$170... more

Stayed there for two nights, just got back a week ago. The location is great for the daytime-close to almost everything. The location is not so great for the nighttime. Very noisy-it's downtown. You'll hear garbage trucks at 4:00am, people outside at all hours. It's an old building, definitely needs work, but when you pull up, you see it's an... more

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights from 8th June. Where do I start. The check-in clerk seemed very confused. There were 5 of us checking in and the person on her own was supposed to have a small room. I think we got the small room. We could hardly negotiate around the bed. The air conditioning system would... more

My husband and I just visited DC for the second time during the week of July 4th. Our first visit was in June of 2000 along with our girls. We enjoyed this hotel and decided to return for another stay with my parents. This time we stayed 6 nights and had a two room deluxe family room. I warned them... more

We stayed three nights and thought Harrington was OK. Location is great for going to the museums, but a little bit boring for eating out. Hotel is in need of renovation. The tiles in our bathroom was broken, the room was smelly and small, TV didn't function properly. Next time in wonderful Washington DC we will go back to Hotel... more

First of all, the room was small and everything looked so old, but the worst was when we discovered that the air condition wasn't working at all on a hot and humid day! The hallway was cool of course but not our room...We asked them to have it fixed by the time we got back from dinner. We got back... more

As a single mom travelling with her 7 year old son, I was apprehensive about staying downtown in such a large city. The Hotel Harrington staff immediately made us feel like we were part of their family, welcoming us and assisting us in all possible ways. The Gift Shop Manager was particularly friendly and helpful and greeted us by name... more

This hotel is not fancy but for the price it was in a great location. Just a couple of blocks from the white house. The restaurants and bar attached have friendly, prompt service. And they offer free popcorn at the bar...always a plus for me. The hotel is a bit old but well maintained. I was nervous to stay at... more

My husband and I stayed at the Harrington Hotel for one night while we were in the city for a concert at the Verizon Center (Pearl Jam). I booked the hotel for two reasons: location and price. The location was nearly perfect...right downtown and very close to the Verizon Center, not to mention the White House, museums, and countless other... more
