This hotel is in PRIME location! If you walk outside and look down the street, you can see the White House very well. The service was very good, as check-in was a breeze and the concierge helped us with our every attraction. The room has great decor, such comfy beds, and modern electronics. The downsides were that the view from... more

Last month I attended the National Education Association conference as a delegate and we said at the Capital Hilton Washington D.C. I do not recommend staying here. If you planned on paying with you Debit or Credit Card, expect a hold of $75 each day you are staying there. We were told that we would not have a hold on... more

This was our second time at the Capital Hilton. We feel like the hotel itself has deteriorated in the past four years. The rooms feel cramped with poor views. The lobby emits a strong smell of chlorine. The front desk staff was adequate, not overly helpful. We travel to DC often so we plan to find another hotel next time. more

The staff was okay. Not unfriendly. Not going out of their way to be helpful. The room was okay. Small things weren't taken care of. The sink was a very slow drain. We called, but no one made a repair. This was not a bad place to stay, and I might stay there again. The location is excellent allowing easy... more

Overall my stay in DC was a pleasant one. I had been concerned about my stay after reading other reviews. Luckily I did not encounter any rude staff during our stay. The room was indeed small, but I was expecting that from the reviews and its a typical city thing. Ultimately this is a great hotel if you plan to... more

Got a good deal ($80/night for a June weekend) through bidding on Priceline. This isn’t the first time I’ve used Priceline and sometimes I fell like I got a room that they stick the Priceline people in. This was one of those times. I got a fairly tiny room (#800) with a Queen bed that was literally the furthest room... more

This hotel is in a wonderful location. That was really the best feature that we found. We were close to two metro stations and only a couple of blocks from the White House. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The concierge had medical supplies such as bandaids. We stayed in this hotel for 10 days/9 nights. Our beds... more

The Capital Hilton is located in central Washington, about 2 miles from Union Station, which is convenient since I arrived for a conference by train. It is also about 3 blocks from the White House and other sites. The hotel is clean and well furnished. There is in-room WiFi available, but it costs $13 per day. My room had a... more

Booked this room through Hotwire for a steal and even that didn't make it worth it. Location was the only thing this hotel had going for it. As soon as they heard we were booked through Hotwire, the tone of the staff changed to one of disdain over the phone. We stayed two nights in order to be close to... more

Very nice hotel. Great location. We had a suite which was very comfortable. The mattresses were pitful, but after sleeping on ours it's very difficult to find a mattress to met our approval. The gym was very nice as was the bar. more
