It started with the over priced parking. $35 a night is a little steep. Then the hotel staff was so-so. The elevators are slower than molasses. The halls are hotter than Africa. The room was smelly and felt old. It was super tiny. The only thing they had in the room for refreshments was 1 bottle of Figi water for... more

The hotel is in a great location and has a friendly, responsive staff. The building itself is an older brick structure that was reportedly remodeled in 1998. The overall appearance is fine, though it was done a bit on the cheap. The bathrooms, for example, have new sinks and counter, but the shower/tubs look old and worn in places. My... more

This is a hidden jewel in DC! It's quaint hotel located in the Georgetown - a very cool area. The other reviews had us worried - but everything was wonderful and surpassed our expectations! Lots of interesting shops and restaurants within 2-3 blocks of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and recommended some good local restaurants. The rooms are... more

This was the second time we stayed at the Latham in Georgetown, It is a great location, but that is all it has going for it. The rooms are small and tired. However, my real issue was security. We had a camera taken from a bag in our room. We realized it after we left the hotel and it took... more

My husband and I stayed at the Latham Hotel over Memorial Day weekend. I was a bit nervous due to some of the reviews of this hotel. Let me first start off my saying that this hotel is in a PERFECT location. It is located right on M Street in Historic Georgetown and only a few blocks from the Foggy... more

We stayed at this hotel for a family vacation to DC. We had four rooms. 3 out of 4 rooms were good when we first saw them. The other one was needed for a family of 4 and way too small but the front desk was immediately helpful and switched them to a larger room. The rooms were super clean... more

My daughter and I had never been to D.C. and she had never been to the East coast. We had three days and then another three days in D.C. after a business trip to another city. We stayed in two different rooms at the Latham Hotel within a week. I had some concerns about the Latham after reading some of... more

Hotel is an old building in need of some TLC but the staff were fine and helpful, the reception was a bit untidy behind the desks and needed tidying up. The room was small but not a problem as we only wanted to sleep in it yes the bathrooms are small but were very clean and there was always plenty... more

First, thanks to Trip Advisor for providing these forums. I had an “Independence Room” on the 9th floor, 917 to be exact. I got a very good rate on a travel web site and paid $119. I found the room comfy and clean. The bathroom was a little on the small side but fixtures and tiling were in good condition.... more

We were apprehensive after reading all the negative comments here. But... this is what we experienced. Stayed 4 nights. The service was average for valet and front desk, but no complaints. The room had two doubles, and was tight, BUT it was very nice. Except for a crack in the lamp shade, everything was perfect. Clean, excellent quality and NO... more
