I stayed here with my sister on a road trip from Las Vegas to WI. This was a nice hotel. Our front desk clerk wasn't the friendliest person, but I've had worse. Our room was nice and roomy and the beds were comfy. The pool was warm and the hot tub was amazing. This hotel is located near a lot... more

This is absolutely the Best Hotel in Ames! The staff is well trained and always greet you with a smile! Clean, Clean, Clean Hotel. Complimentary cocktail hour nightly sets this hotel apart from the rest of the Ames hotels. I have stayed at the Hampton Inn, Gateway and would never go back after staying at this facility. more

We were on a long slog across country and decided to stay in one place for two nights - this was the perfect place. We had plenty of room, the on-site laundry room was immaculate. The room was very clean, as were the hallways, etc. The kitchen area has some basics - dishes and silverware - and a full sized... more

Great place to stay. Rooms were very clean, the breakfast is wonderful. The Front Desk was very friendly. Everyone that I came in contact with was wondeful and very helpful. Wonderful place. more

I travel to Ames very frequently for business and I just think this hotel is above and beyond the rest! The service is excellent, rooms are clean, and breakfast is very good with lots of variety. They also have free drinks at night which I think is just incredible. Being a business traveler is not easy as you are away... more

The bathroom had not been cleaned in our room, so our experience didn't start out well. This hotel is extremely loud: lots of doors slammed, plumbing was really loud, and the halls echo. The worse part was the free breakfast. I would not recommend relying on this hotel for your breakfast. There was no seating for over half the guests... more

We stayed here for a week and selected a suite. Since we got the business rate of $80 per night, it was a true bargain. The room was spacious and clean and the people could not have been nicer. They offer a happy hour every night except Sunday. The breakfast was included and we took advantage of the fridge in... more

This is the best hotel that I have ever stayed at in Ames. We visit the area regularly to attend athletic events at ISU and have stayed at all the hotels in town. This hotel is hands down the best in town. They have the best breakfast, cleanest rooms, and best staff! Everyone who needs to stay in Ames should... more

My daughter and I stayed at this property for two nights. We have mostly good things to say about the place but also experienced a couple of problems. This Country Inn appears to be the most popular place to stay in this area, right off I-35 at exit 111. As we drove up, my daughter described it as "respectable" looking.... more

This hotel was a very nice hotel to stay with the family (husband and two under 5). We chose this place because we have been impressed with other Country Inn and Suites. The hotel was really busy the weekend we were there- I think Special Olympics golf was held nearby and also Day Out with Thomas the Tank Engine, but... more
