Hi; I wanted to help as many first time traveller’s the Marrakech as quickly as possible, so greetings from Marrakech. Having never been to Maroc I surveyed several colleagues who had in the past few years and got responses as varied as some of the postings I see on tripadvisor. As a 6' blonde who attracts a bit of attention... more

Riad Dar Karma is a truly stunning location for a holiday. It exudes class in a refined and understated way. The staff are excellent and unobtrusive – things just happen often without the need to ask. Riad Dar Karma is an oasis of calm tranquility in a busy and hectic city. From the moment we arrived at the airport and... more

Confirming previous reports, Dar El Karma was for us quite a find. Walking through the unassuming door in the jostling backstreets of the Medina you transport into a truly welcoming and calm oasis. All of the staff made our stay very pleasureable and relaxing. This for us was a refreshing change from big name 5* hotels with the Riad encouraging... more

Well worth it's 5 stars. An unassuming door leads to a beautiful, cool, stylish, friendly, tasty and comfortable retreat from the dirty, hectic, beggar-filled city. Abdul is a wonderful 'concierge' although 'host' would probably be a better word - in keeping with a lot of the population he seemed to take a personal interest in our comfort rather than it... more

After stepping away from the bustle of the Kasbah within Marrakesh, entering Riad Karma was like entering an oasis. We arrived and Abdul open the door with a huge smile and a welcoming hello. The interior garden was light under a moonlight night. This is a small riad in a residential area. The details of the wood carving on the... more

A wonderful riad in the heart of the Kasbah, 10-15 minute walk from main square of Jemma al Fna, striking tranquility in a sea of noise, smells and overwhelming of the senses. Minimalist decor, clean rooms, whispers respecting guests' need to relax and everyone's privacy. Clean rooms, showers with great pressure, high-end bath products, a hammam (steamroom) for your achy... more

Just returned from a trip to Morocco - an agent recommended Dar Karma and we were very pleased. We arrived late and dusty in the evening after traveling from the Sahara and over the High Atlas - Annie, the owner, took pity and served us a delicious dinner in their cosy salon in mere minutes. From helpful tips, including sight... more

We spent three nights at Dar Karma, and I can't recommend it highly enough. The thing that impressed me most of all was its tranquility. Every night when we got back from a busy day of sightseeing, we were amazed at how perfectly peaceful it was. We barely even saw the other guests while we were there! (Other than at... more

Riad Dar Karma is BEAUTIFUL, a well looked after riad in the Kasbah district of Marrakesh. It is easy to find and walking distance to the plaza Jmena el Fna (10mns), the Saadiens toombs (5mns), the El Badi Palace (10mns) and the Bahia Palace (10mns). I recommend the airport Riad transfer, which was prompt, polite and fuss-free. If you have... more

Marrakech was my last stop and this was a great place to end my trip. From check in to check out, it was all so wonderful and pleasureable. To start, Marrakech is a bit of a crazy place and finding this place in the Kasbah area was tricky BUT the riad's website has a great map and that is one... more
