If you want total relaxation in a beautiful hideaway this is the place to come. There are no clocks, room phones, newspapers or TV but there are numerous smiling staff just waiting to pamper you and beautifully furnished large airy bungalows with their own individual jacuzzis and private sunbeds just yards from the sea. Breakfast is served any time of... more

We had the most wonderful time spending our holidays in Funzi. It started off with a very warm welcome by the owner Mr.Torriani, who made sure we had everything we desired during our stay. Everything was just perfect. We loved our beautifully secluded, large and very nice furnished Bungalow right at the Beach. The staff was always very friendly and attentive and we... more

(First: we rate food very highly, which is why we cannot strongly recommend Funzi.) Well, if you are ever traveling to Africa...and you can rope Barb Wilson who is semi-retired but an Africa Expert (of Frontiers Travel) into your plans...do so. This leads to my brief review: I insisted on Funzi after reading about it...she tried to steer me away.... more

Funzi Keys is an ideal and convenient location for a few days chill out in an informal but nevertheless luxurious environment post safari (we’d previously been to Elsas Kopje, Sabuk, Il Moran and Campi Ya Tembo); but there are without doubt far better beach locations and more polished remote resorts outside of Kenya if you are looking for a pure... more

I would not recommend this hotel. We were there for our honeymoon after 7 days on safari and unfortunately we were very disappointed. The pictures on their website and on their brochures show pictures of beautiful beaches....well the pictures are of a sand bar located a few minutes from the hotel by boat. The beach in front of the hotel... more

It's two years since we stayed at Funzi but it was so good that we hope to return soon. We have recommended it to lots of friends who have had a similar and wonderful time. Ultimate relaxation is the key and a feeling of being very special guests. Alessandro and Claudia couldn't have been kinder and more hospitable. We loved... more

We stayed at Funzi for the relaxing half of our honeymoon having been on a safari in Kenya. Coming from the Kuoni World Class brochure and knowing the price for this resort we were bitterly disappointed. Let me compare. This hotel is savagely expensive, but the food was no better than what we get on our GBP500 a week package... more

We have been reading the reveiwes on the site and some are just so over rated. We did not like most of what we experienced. When was it a "Great place"? 50 years ago? maybe it would be better to get married then.We were hoping on a magical honeymoon but it was not worth our money. they can do better,... more

This was the last leg of our honeymoon after the Mara and Elsa's Kopje. It is described as an ideal island getaway. In reality, it is not an island. It is not 5* luxury either. That said, it was an ok place to visit. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pool is gorgeous and the sea food is amazing.... more

Just got back from a stressing few days at Funzi. I have travelled loads and I spotted the Funzi Keys website some time ago so we decided to give it a try. What we got is far from what is least.expected. I will write what I saw and experienced, which was not good at all. We were welcomed by the... more
