The hotel is in a nice location. The grounds are nice, the pools look inviting from a distance. The hotel is older and an attempt was made to give it a modern facelift. Modern furniture that is dusty, creaky floors, dingy drappery and the new-age "stuff" does not disguise the smell, the aging cooling system and the rude, poorly informed... more

We stayed for three nights in a mountainview casita. We had a lovely view of Mummy mountain and could watch the sunset over Paradise Valley. This resort is truly a sanctuary. The grounds were beautiful and lush with desert plants. The resort is built up the side of Camelback Mountain with brick paver stairways and paths throughout that lead you... more

My husband and I stayed at the Sanctuary for a belated anniversary vacation, and to recover from our hectic lives. Our room was fabulous; a suite with a small kitchen, balcony, LR, dining area and big bed and bathrooms. The decor was great, it was a great place to be. This place is so QUIET, no car noise. Just birds.... more

We chose the Sanctuary for the last four days of a two week vacation in the southwest. Initially we booked a room only, but later found their "Spa Harmony Package" -- a great deal if you plan to take advantage of spa treatments and if you plan to have breakfast on the property. We also chose a spa casita over... more

The accommodation was outstanding, service world class and location was amazing. Highly recommend for couples wanting a quiet romantic get away, you will not regret it. Ate at several great places......Coup De Tartes, Elements, Arcadia Farms... more

My partner and I stayed at the Sanctuary for four nights and absolutely loved it. We had a one room casita. It was very roomy and had a nice seating area that was perfect for drinking coffee in the morning and watching the sunset at night. The turndown service was great to come home to and the room staff even... more

MY wife and I spent 2 days at the Sanctuary in early April and absolutely loved it. We paid about $520/night The setting is ideal as it is nestled up against Camelback Mtn. and provides beautiful views of Paradise Valley and the Mtn itself. Upon check in we were upgraded to a Spa View Casita Suite (from a std room),... more

This was our third visit to Sanctuary on Camelback, and by far, the best! I can't say enough about this beautiful, peaceful resort. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The spa is top notch, and Elements restaurant and Jade Bar are FABULOUS, even by NYC standards! Beau is a great chef and has won many awards. This is a young, boutique... more

The Sanctuary is blessed with its lovely Elements restaurant, with good food at good prices and a beautiful view. We had great weather which made the grounds easy to love, with birds singing in the mornings. The rooms are comfortable, with wonderful sheets, but our Mountain Casita bed needs replacement, consistent with another traveler's experience. Others have commented about the... more
