Just returned from a two-day conference held at the Buttes. My impressions: . First and foremost the staff there was terrific - my experience was that everyone was friendly and helpful. Even the maids actually said hello and smiled when you passed them in the hallway. I knew by that acion that I was not on the East Coast anymore.... more

I was placed into a room that over looked the freeway and was right next to a maintenance shop. So at night the freeway noise keep me awake and during the day there was endless noise from the staff. The bed was like a rock. This was my first Marriott stay in a few years as I use Hyatt and... more

What a unique Marriott property! Both Modern and connected to nature at the same time. Isolated location on edge of Tempe is a draw back. If you like baseball you'll like stadium next door. If you don't, be sure to schedule stay around the games. Very near airport for easy arrival and departure. The design of the property is utterly... more

This is the 7th year we have been to the Buttes. And since Marriott took this facility over from Wyndham, it has gone up, up, up in quality and service. The changes they are making at the resort are noticable in both service and in the facilities. I will note, the cost of breakfast in the restaurant has gone way... more

We stayed at the Marriott Buttes from Feb. 5th-9th while my husband attended a conference there. Overall, we were pleased with our stay. The location of the hotel is very convenient to the airport and the Tempe spring training stadium (it's right next door!). Service was very good - they actually replaced the mattresses in our room (at my request)... more

This is one of these hotels that tend annoy like a low-grade headache, mainly due to discombobulated management... and here's why. While it is situated fairly beautifully on top of a rock formation, the hotel is next to the freeway and at check-in I was given a room with a view...of the parking lot and the freeway. I asked to... more

Pretty amazing hotel. Once you enter the hotel grounds, it seems like you're miles away from the city. Beautifuly hotel. Rooms were above average and it really feels like a resort. The restaurant (grill) was very good. I only got to stay here one night on business, but would even think about returning and bringing my family, it would be... more
