Every detail of this resort was incredible. The view from our Valley View suite was amazing. The room itself was gigantic! Our own private patio, seperate sleeping and den, stocked fridge/wine cooler in the kitchen. The food at the restaurant and bar was very very good! The staff was extrememly helpful and treated us like we owned the place. The... more

Auberge du Soleil is a heavenly retreat. My husband and I have stayed at Auberge on three different occasions. We adore the privacy, the views, the service and the newly remodeled pool area. It is a real splurge and people should expect a lot for their money. Unfortunately, the level of service through the Concierge desk has deteriorated greatly over... more

Time to move on to a different hotel. Auberge has deteriorated to the level of an over-rated has been. The service is selfish, breakfast sent back for being woefully overcooked and "Resting" sign mean nothing to the housekeeping and bell staff. Too bad, it used to be great. It got to the point where I even asked if the hotel... more

You will need a $300 massage to help straighten out your sore back after a very uncomfortable nights sleep. I stayed 3 years ago and had the most comfortable bed but unfortunately they replaced all beds and box springs with a very hard mattress on a raise hard platform. If you like extreme hardness in your mattress you will be... more

My husband and I spent a blissful weekend here to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We had last been to the Auberge 14 years ago. What can I say but I hope to return here again and again! This place is so romantic! The "rooms" are actually little "casitas" that are named after different wine regions. I love the wood floors... more

I'd heard so much about Auberge so maybe my expectations were too high. We paid about $700/night. We stayed at one of the 'lower valley view' rooms. The room was beautifully decorated and the bathroom was huge. The refrigerator was stocked with snacks and drinks. BUT the balcony is surrounded by high walls on either side and a pretty high... more

My husband and I spent three wonderful nights at the Auberge to celebrate a 50th birthday. This is a quaint and quiet hotel that feels very European in layout and style. As you can see on the hotel website, the hotel is built onto a hillside overlooking the vineyards of Rutherford...and every room has a beautiful and serene view of... more

I have always wanted to stay here. Finally, for my 50th birthday, my husband took me. Luckily, my birthday is in January, when their rates are the lowest and there are not many crowds in the Napa Valley. We have stayed in $500+ hotel rooms before, but Auberge had probably the best service. People were not stuffy, but seemed generally... more

If you are looking for the perfect place to take someone (very) special, then this is it. I try to stay here at least once a year, always in the autumn or winter. Personally, I think winter is the best time to stay - the crowds have thinned, it's easier to book private tours at the nearby wineries, and the... more

I rate this property right up there with the best I've ever stayed, it was wonderful. The property is imaculent. The bed was so comfortable and the burning fireplace all night made it all the more cozy. We had room 4 in the Versailles building a big patio and quiet. There is a road that seperates the lower rooms from... more
