As we booked in last minute we were happy to get a room for the advertised rate. Shame that there were only smokers left. Always seems the case that nobody wants a smoking room, so why do they have so many? Staff were polite. Room was of a good standard and accessible. If you want something to eat you'll have... more

We spent a night at this property while passing through on a roadtrip. We got in late, and discovered after bringing in all our bags that the bathroom lacked a shower curtain. The night clerk was no help. The beds were fine, and the room was fairly quiet. In the morning, I found ants climbing all over some of our... more

I always book non-smoking rooms for our family. Apparently I did not look at my confirmation to notice that we were in a smoking room. The front desk girl was very nice and let me go up and smell the room. As non-smokers with a son with allergies the room was unacceptable. We then looked around for another hotel and... more

We originally had booked three nights at this hotel for a late June vacation, but after one night, we canceled and moved to a different property (has the word "Double" in its name). We had booked a nonsmoking room with two queen beds, which we got. However, the carpet and furniture were rundown, the bathroom area very small, and the... more

I usually consider Super 8's as near the bottom of the line, just above Econolodge or Travelodge, to be booked when nothing else is available. This was a bargain by Durango standards & available so we booked. The front desk was great. The room was large & even clean, but a little stark (it seemed there should be more furniture... more

My seven year old son and I spent four nights here during spring break. The receptionist was helpful and accommodating. The room was clean. We were out at the ski area for most of the day every day, but whenever we came back we were greeted warmly and welcomed. The staff was also friendly to my son, who was fascinated... more

We recently stayed at the Super 8 in Durango, Colorado because we were playing golf at the Dalton Ranch Golf Resort. On check in, we were given a basket of goodies which, along with the obligatory shampoo and soap, included 2 full size deodorants, 4 Nature Valley granola bars, 3 Dentyne Ice gum samples, Garnier Nutrisse shampoo and conditioner samples,... more

Desk staff was extremely nice! Went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Rooms were the cleanest we have stayed in on our 18 day trip! Breakfast was pretty small, but after all, it is a continental breakfast, not a restaurant! We had a wonderful stay and will definately be back!! more

The sixth night of an eight-night/nine-day vacation in southwest Colorado was spent at the Super 8 in Durango, just a couple miles south of downtown Durango and the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Depot. There were no restaurants close to the hotel. A couple years ago I had a bad experience at a different Super 8 and always check... more

Based on previous TripAdvisor reviews, you’re probably going to think I have exceptionally low standards, or am very easy-to-please since I was very satisfied during the 2 nights I stayed at the Super 8. My husband and I didn’t plan on staying here but our accommodations at a Best Western in Durango were so poor we checked out early. I’ll... more
