I decided to forsake my usual place (El Patio) for the Author's Guesthouse thanks to the many wonderful reviews posted here. It is indeed a very nice place and the staff are all very nice! I had late check in since my plane came in after the office closed. The staff took care of everything and I had no problem... more

I'm sorry to hear that your bed was too soft. I wish you would have brought this to our attention as well as the WiFi Service. We would have been happy to upgrade you to a room with a firmer bed, or if the bed actually had something wrong with it, I would have happily replaced it. As for the...

We stayed in the Hemingway room and very much enjoyed our stay. The rooms are quiet, clean and reasonably priced. My wife noted that the beds are very comfortable and we slept well the entire trip. There is a small pool available for cooling off or jets can be turned on to make it jacuzzi-style. The location is about a... more

This is the sort of place that you just hate to leave. We arrived after driving down from Ft. Lauderdale late afternoon. They left our room keys out for us since the office closed at 5pm. Once in the room, it was clean and to our satisfaction. I especially liked the way the rooms have access to decks all throughout... more

My husband and I spent three nights at Author's Guesthouse in The Library Room. It was a great experience! Tippi was awesome, easy check in, room was clean, cool and nicely furnished. It was always a pleasure to come back to the nice quiet, cool room after a hot day out exploring Key West. The Library had a full bed,... more

We were looking for a nice, secluted getaway place and we found it!! We had a great experience all together.I have to tell you this palce is a little bit far from Duval Street which makes it great speacially at bed time but not so great after a day filled with events and lots of walking. Parking wasn't a issue... more

We stayed at this charming guest house for one night. We had "The Library". The room was clean, pleasantly decorated and quiet. We enjoyed the continental breakfast offered in one of the quaint outdoor seating areas. We found the staff to be courteous, helpful and knowledgeable about Key West activities and sights. The only downside to this Guesthouse is the... more

Just got back from a wonderful two night stay at Authors Guesthouse and couldn't be happier. After a long drive had a wonderful greeting from Landon, he offered lots of wonderful tips for things to do and see in Key West and then showed us to our room - The Audobaun. It was spotless with plenty of room for two... more

The rooms and cottages at Authors Guesthouse are designed to reflect the life and times of several authors who spent some time in Key West. We stayed at the Hemingway Cottage for three nights. It is located on the edge of the old town, and you can walk from there to see most of the sights in Key West. Our... more

My family and I stayed at Authors Guesthouse in Key West, Fla. We were in the Ernest Hemmingway Cottage.
