Over Memorial Day we spent one night at the Super 8 in Carbondale. The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. The price seemed high $79.00 a night for a 'budget' hotel and the complimentary breakfast was mediocre at best. It was comprised of packaged granola bars, danish and cereal. more

First let me give you an overview. This hotel is located on hwy 13 across the street from the University Mall. It is in a convenient location, and reasonably close to the AAA office. The night before I stayed in the Super 8 in Salem, IL and had a great experience. I learned this the Carbondale location is run by the same group, Midwest Lodging. You get a simple clean room at a very good price. I will stay at any Midwest Lodging property anytime more

This hotel is nice, conveniently located and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine--lots of choices. We can't say anything bad about it, but it's also nothing special. My husband & I have stayed at this motel numerous times when visiting family in the area. The rooms are always clean. The lobby is nicely decorated & clean.
