The hotel is magnificent and is in an excellent location for doing anything in Chicago. I was there for a conference and the facilities were excellent. Free Wi-Fi, which is always good! The room was clean and the view from the 37th floor was fantastic. Friendly and helpful staff. Great lobby for having a drink and meeting people. more

Booked 2 rooms through priceline since we have 2 teenagers and didn't want to risk being too cramped. Got them for $75 each. Once we saw the rooms we realized we could have been comfortable enough in one room since we were ther to shop and see Cubs and just use the room for sleeping. Staff was great, rooms were... more

I stayed at this hotel last week for a conference. Working in the travel industry myself, I find myself pretty critical of hotels. This Marriott was a pleasant surprise - they have been recently renovated. The lobby was beautiful, the conference rooms were well maintained and the sleeping room had modern decor and was very clean. The best thing about... more

Due to rising costs of flying, not wanting to be too out of range of our little one, and a smaller budget this year, our fifth anniversary turned out to be just a weekend and not a whole vacation. As a result, we looked for something fun and undone by us. We have shopped and explored downtown Chicago, but never... more

This hotel is in a great location in downtown Chicago. The room is really nothing special. The bathroom is extremely tiny. The beds are very comfortable and four pillows per bed. Cleanliness is good. The front desk staff was very friendly and efficient. They don't have a traditional front desk but "pods" and the agent will step out in front... more

Just got back from a 3 night stay at the Marriot, booked by husband's work for a conference. The location is excellent, just on the south end of the shopping Mile, an easy 4 blocks from Navy Pier and a brisk 30 minute walk from the Museum Campus (Field, Shedd Aquarium, Planetarium). Our overall experience was good and we would... more

I'm a huge Marriott fan and a Silver Elite Rewards member, so I always stay at the Marriott. But this visit left something to be desired. I was there during construction in February 2008. It was still a nice hotel in terms of asthetics though. The decor was nice. I had a high floor room with floor to ceiling windows... more

One of my favorite spots in Chicago is the recently renovated Marriott Chicago on Michigan Avenue. However, I hadn't stayed since the renovation began and was eagerly anticipating this trip to see how it all turned out. The location is still in the heart of it all and the exterior is unchanged, but upon entering the lobby, it was apparent... more

I stayed June 13-15 2008, and had booked a Priceline rate which (after taxes & fees) wound up being about $105 a night. (Not bad!) I wanted to write this review because I had a really good experience. I booked this hotel, and then saw a mixed bag of reviews, several negative. It made me a little concerned, but I... more

The hotel looks Great on the outside but.... I was at a 3 day conference booked by my company. Since I had never been to Chicago, I decided to stay the weekend with my husband joining me. Unfortunately my arrival started out unpleasant and continued throughout my stay. I was informed that i could not have a King Size Bed... more
