An amazing honeymoonLarge, clean, quiet, well designed rooms. Good breakfast and complimentary drinks at the bar early evening. A great base in the city for a first-time visitor. more
Spent three days at the North Columbus hotel. It is walking distance to Michigan Ave, Navy Pier, and Grant Park's north side. We used cabs to get to the museums (about $11 with tip). The central location was ideal for allowing the family to rest after seeing the sites. Pool was fine, and manager's reception was a nice touch. Breakfast... more
I found this hotel to be a great value for the money. The room was quite large, we have stayed at many suites in downtown chicago and I think this may be one of the best. Separate living room with sofa bed, microwave and fridge, then large bedroom with own sink in there. Clean lobby and rooms, staff friendly enough... more
Our family prefers this hotel to any other (including staying with family members in the city). It is conveniently located to everything we want to do. The staff is so friendly, they always remember us and it is like coming home each time we stay. We find the staff helpful when trying to locate things we are unfamiliar with, and... more
The staff at this hotel is extra friendly and makes our family feel at home every time we are there. From the time we check in, and all through our stay their friendly and expedient service makes us want to return over and over again. The best value in town and the best location for seeing the city. Being frequent... more
I travel quite a bit for work & I stay in a lot of hotels. I've learned not to expect much service but this place was great. Every time I left or entered the building the doorman welcomed me & remembered my name. Michael & Roberto especially were amazing. These guys are what you'd expect from a five star "fancy"... more
Hospitality defined by apathetic and unfriendly staff is what you may experience at your stay here. I was in Chicago for a week, and my husband booked this place, b/c they have a separate living room and bedroom, as well as a microwave. We regretted the decision the day we walked in, where we were greeted rather unkindly by the... more
Nice hotel, convenient to many places. Had two problems. First, pool was closed all day Monday after we arrived. Not good - considering it was Spring Break and we have a kid. Second, make sure to put out your "Do not Disturb" every morning before you leave for breakfast. Had a situation where cleaning person came before 9 am, and... more
The hotel is a superb facility located in the middle of anything you could want to do, even walking in sub zero temps! There is a good grocery store 1/2 block away just to the right once you leave the front of the hotel (not Trader Joe's overpriced snob crap which is also close by). The room was very nice... more
Hotel was centrally located just north of the Chicago River, perfect for the Mag Mile and Hancock Tower and just a few blocks from the Loop. Subway stop within 100 metre walk. Rooms were large, comfortable and well equipped, though being English, the tea was awful, but you learn to live with that!! Pool was pretty tiny for a hotel... more
