Nicely renovated property with modern ammenities. After talking with the GM (Daryl?) all guest rooms and common areas (lobby, breakfast area, public wash rooms, pool, etc) have just undergone a total renovation within the last few months. Spent 3 days at the Hampton Inn Mattoon , Ill. If all Hampton Inns are this well mantained I will always book my stays there. The rooms were immaulate as well as the staff . Everything about my stay was wonderful. The bedding was out of this world. Can not say enough about how great my stay was. more

Recently updated. New beds are wonderful with duvets, down pillows. Nice breakfast with pastry, sausage and biscuits or gravy as well as cinnamon raisin biscuits. Also usual cereal...and the coffee is excellent. more

Non-smoking hall stunk of smoke the night we checked in. We called the front desk and they said it was from a smoking room. Odd since they'd just told us at check-in that it was a non-smoking floor.
