Hotel and staff are great. Unfortunately, the building is located on a street with many restaurants. Not a bad thing except between 3:00 and 4:00 on Monday mornings when all the garbage dumpsters are emptied. This one was a winner! Fresh, clean, nicely decorated room with all those little extras that make a difference. Queen sized comfy beds that you almost needed a stepstool to hop up on, lots of fluffy towels, microwave and fridge in the room. Immaculate bathroom with great lighting. The hotel is very clean and nicely decorated. The bedding is so comfortable, especially the pillows-you get soft and firm and the pillowcases label them! The continental breakfast never runs empty. We stayed here during an alumni weekend in October 2007, and we were very pleased with the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and spacious, and the breakfast was excellent. We are big fans of Holiday Inn Express, especially since the chain introduced its wonderful new linens, and this property didn't disappoint. more

My son and I stayed at the Bloomington Holiday Inn Express during his IU orientation. This hotel is a fantastic value. I was impressed with the decor, cleanliness and quality bath products. We stayed here while visiting the IU campus. Lobby is very nice as well as the rooms- this Express had switched over to the new Simply Smart bedding, which was very comfortable and it is away enough from the highway for a quiet night of sleep. Stayed there to check out IU. Now it is a little ways out from the campus, but its worth that short drive. The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was more than the standard HI Express continental with a couple hot items, and the pool/whirlpool was nice.
