After reading so many negative reviews I was skeptical of staying here. However, my experience was very positive. The front desk was very polite and helpful- especially Tim. The rooms were nice and well-kept. Easy access to the Metro. Within walking distance of great restaurants, a Safeway grocery store, cinema, and Barnes and Noble. more

As others have noted, this is not the best example of a Hyatt by far, but it's okay. It looks like a Hyatt from the 70's with the greenery dangling from the the floors in the atrium, glass elevators and the things that made the Hyatt look different from other hotels many years ago. This Hyatt just looks dated and... more

This is not the nicest Hyatt I've been in but it is not a Motel 6 either. I stayed for 5 nights, July 4 through July 9 2007 Location is excellent with the Metro right out the door and a great neighborhood surrounding the hotel. The service was excellent, everyone extremely helpful and friendly. Room service was quick and my... more

I attended a conference at this hotel and got a special rate (170$ + tax). Even for this rate the hotel is no good value for money. The regular price (> 300$) is really ridiculous. The rooms need major renovation: Carpets, bed and furniture were worn-out. Air condition is very noisy. I had to change rooms because the air condition... more

We were in Bethesda for 1 day to attend a wedding in May, 2007. Booked the Hyatt through Priceline/BiddingForTravel at a good rate, and we were pleased with our stay. The desk clerk was very helpful in letting us check in early (12:30pm, before normal 3pm checkin) to get ready for the afternoon wedding. The room was clean, the bed... more

Stayed at this hotel for work - and also hosted a meeting of about 12 people in one of their meeting rooms. Really a "standard issue" hotel with nothing special going for it other than Morton's Steak House in the lobby. The "under the door" bill was inaccurate by nearly $75.00 - and TV checkout would not work (fortunately, in... more

My family of four stayed here for 4 nights on the 4th floor. Would recommend a higher floor because you can smell thr garlic from the Mortons steak house restaurant on the first floor. The room is a little cramp but the bathroom is a good size and the shower delivers a good strong water flow. I enjoy my showers.... more

I live in DC and stayed here for a wedding. Found the place a great place and the location was wonderful. The metro is located right at the entrance to the hotel and the there are a number of great restaurants in the immediate area, including a couple of nice restaurants in the hotel itself. The hotel was clean, if... more

Stayed here because it was the site of a seminar for my husband. I used the Metro every day into DC and that was exceptionally convenient. Check-in was very welcoming, and the bell man was most helpful. From there on the staff didn't seem to go out of the way to make the stay memorable. It irks me to spend... more

My family and I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda for two nights. We were in the area to visit all of the sites in Washington DC. We booked through Priceline and got a great price for $50 a night. (Parking though was an additional $10 a night if you did not need in and out priviledges - $15... more
