How I agree with Chocolate74! We were there in the 2nd half of April. The tents are new and huge - 30ft x 15 ft, but most of the space is wasted. The lighting is poor (except in the loo!). The hot water tank in Tent 7 obviously was not renewed and our hand washed underwear was stained with rust.... more

This was the most expensive place we stayed at in Namibia and it was the biggest disappointment: Staff were lazy, the tents were noisy and drab, the guides were clueless, food was basic, the pool was always dirty and there were never any towels. I actually complained on my return and they told me they were in a staff transition... more

We can't speak highly enough of our experience here. Our tent was wonderful, the sitting/dining/bar area was beautiful, the view of the waterhole was great, the food was excellent, the animals were abundant, the staff were lovely and the guides very professional. Ongava Tented Camp is an incredible place, probably the most remote, beautiful and exciting place we have ever stayed. It is part of the Ongava reserve but different to the main Lodge. The tents are situated near a waterhole and a dining and small pool area. The tents are beautiful, so stylish inside and the bathrooms whilst chilly in July... more
