We have just returned from a week end stay at South Point. The hotel is moderate. The pictures make it look like a glitzy modern hotel however its more like a standard Comfort/ Holiday Inn. The casino and pool are quite crowded tough to find a seat at the gaming tables. Seems to be filled with tourists and a large... more

I booked a room at the South Point less than 48 hours in advance, and got a good weekday rate ($45/night). I thought the property was one of the older ones - so was expecting something smaller and more run down. Was very pleased to find a huge room (500 sf) and plenty of ammenities, and not showing signs of... more

A very reasonably priced hotel situated off the strip. A shuttle was available to drop you off at the Mandalay Bay hotel. It takes about 10 minutes and runs until after midnight. The rooms were large, clean and very quiet. We were on the 12th floor. The bed was large and comfortable. The breakfast at the Coronada restaurant was freshly... more

Wow! We stayed here for one night for $49 & it was the best value I've had in a long time. Check in took awhile because there was a long line, but the staff member that checked us in was friendly. The route to get to the room was pretty direct (unlike some hotel/casinos that require you to wind through... more

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights which we booked via the website. We arrived midweek so checking in not a problem. We were going to upgrade to a larger room but the receptions said that our standard room was large enough and sure enough it's a great size room. I loved the location - the main strip... more

Excellent choice of hotel if you want to stay off the strip. Price was competitive. Rooms were quiet, clean and tidy. We did hire a car to get out and about to shopping malls, Hoover Dam, the strip etc. Only negative thing was paying to use hotel amenities such as the spa/gym - I believe this however is standard in... more

South Point was great, we enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean and spacious. Casino has cheap tables (low minimum bets) and I thought Don Vito's Italian was wonderful!! The only drawback is the location. I arrived at a time when the hotel airport shuttle was not scheduled to run and taxi was $30.00. We were not visiting the strip this... more

We just returned from our trip to Las Vegas. This was our first visit to Vegas and we enjoyed our stay at South Point. We pick this hotel because of it being off the strip and the price was unbelievable. They have a special summer rate and our average price was around $57 per night. For what you get that... more

Four day/three night stay last weekend of July '08. Responsive staff, nice large & clean rooms, no real view from room (#979), quite on the floor at night. Clean throughout. Rented car so 4.5 mile drive to strip was not an issue. Had dinner reservations and plans offsite so did not eat onsite or engage in the available activites. Did... more

Loved it. Got a great rate by checking several internet web sites and then having the hotel directly match the best rate. Picked this hotel because it is not on the Las Vegas strip. I had a car and wanted to be near the airport, which is just a short distance south of the Las Vegas strip. Beautiful new hotel.... more
