When we arrived after a serious day of shopping there was a horse and a huge wedding party complete with about 100 guests blocking the car port and front door. We carried our luggage and shopping bags across the huge parking lot to the front desk. When we asked the front desk attendants if the wedding celebration would be going... more

The warm cookies at check in is a nice touch. My room was recently renovated. The bed had a very cozy duvet and down pillows. The bath products were Neutrogena (sp). There was free in room coffee and tea and the machine was easy to use. There wasn't much light in the closet space outside the bathroom. The internet was... more

We went to this hotel with a group of other friends... all of us are very satisfied with the hotel staff's service, lobby, free internet service, etc. Hotel is very clean, very spacious. They also provided free welcome freshly baked cookies for guests (just like Mrs Fields Cookies). Will definitely come back. more

There are many hotels in the immediate area. I would suggest staying elsewhere. First off, upgraded to a junior suite which costs about almost 3 times as much as a regular room. The suite is only slightly bigger than a regular room. Don't waste your money on an upgrade. The air condition unit was out of the 1980s and was... more

My wife and I stayed at the Doubletree in Somerset while attending a wedding at the hotel. The hotel appears to be recently renovated, and hence looks great on the outside (the building is a bit dated on the outside). The location of the hotel isnt too exciting (in the middle of a big office park, with nothing interesting in... more

I too am a consultant and travel 100% of the time. I have stayed both at the Marriott across the highway and here and this is definitely the winner. The newly renovated rooms are wonderful. The interior decorations, cherry colored furniture and modern looking accent lighting are a delightful change from the antiquated Marriott next door. The hotel bar is... more

I travel all the time as a consultant and I aways stay in Somerset. I usually stay at the Marriott next door but have seen the service levels drop dramatically over the past year. I decided to try the DoubleTree. The hotel just completed a $14 million renovation and it looks like a 5 star hotel. It is by far... more

The hotel is older, and very run down. It took my room 3 hours to heat up (mind you - it was 20 degrees outside). The bathroom had pee on the toilet seat & long hair all over the shower.. Would not stay here again. more

I have been to a graduation and a wedding here and both affairs were lovely. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The grounds of the hotel are nicely landscaped so that outdoor cocktail hours are possible. If you are looking to hold an event in this area, I recommend this place. more

I had found myself switching into the Doubletree after picking a very bad hotel in the area. I was greeted by a friendly and helpful desk-staff, plenty of parking, quiet rooms and the nicest housekeeping staff person one could dream of. I highly recommend staying there. My experience was perfect. I would have given it an excellent except that I... more
